Well-liked League Metropolis restaurant destroyed by hearth on Valentine’s Day

Three firefighters sustained minor accidents on Valentine’s Day after responding to a construction hearth on the restaurant Kelley’s Nation Cookin’, in line with the League Metropolis Volunteer Fireplace Division.

League Metropolis Fireplace Chief Mike Lugo instructed KHOU {that a} beam fell whereas firefighters had been making an attempt to extinguish the hearth, inflicting a number of accidents. The accidents weren’t sustained by the League Metropolis firefighters, Lugo stated.

Lugo instructed KHOU that Kelley’s roof was being labored on for the previous few days and that the restaurant might have been open on the time. 

The division continues to be investigating the reason for the hearth.
