Texas Gov. Abbott on why he declined to toss to start with pitch at house opener: MLB pushed ‘false narrative’

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott explained on “America’s Newsroom” Tuesday that he did not throw the very first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opener because the Important Baseball League engaged in political malpractice by pushing a phony narrative about the Georgia election reform.

GREG ABBOTT: I could not affiliate myself with Significant League Baseball, that had gone out and finished anything that was absolutely absurd. It was having positions with regard to these voter and election rules in the point out of Georgia, wherever clearly Key League Baseball had not read through or not studied it and did not know what these legislation delivered. The MLB was essentially boycotting the state of Georgia, that has regulations that are much more lenient for voters than the state of New York, than the condition of Delaware the place President Biden hails from himself – and not figuring out what the legal guidelines deliver…not realizing that the guidelines really did not crackdown, but instead expanded the means to vote. 

It is preposterous that we have some of these businesses that know very little in any respect about what the regulation supplies, but they are…injecting them selves into politics in approaches that are just flat out mistaken. And I refuse to affiliate with an corporation that is using political positions when they require to be concentrating on baseball and on opening working day for the Texas Rangers. And they shouldn’t be engaged in politics like that. And the past detail we want is for them to be engaged in politics in the state of Texas. What they did is political malpractice…
