DC having new general public loos

District lawmakers approved legislation for the restrooms again in April 2019 and now we know where by they’re likely.

D.C. is obtaining some new community bogs.

District lawmakers accredited laws for the restrooms back in April 2019 — and now we know where they could be heading.

Primary destinations for bogs consist of the next:

  • 3rd Street and Virginia Avenue SE
  • 27th and K streets NW
  • Gallery Place
  • Dupont Circle
  • Union Station
  • Reeves Heart at 14th and U streets NW
  • 17th Avenue and Benning Street NE.

City officers said the restrooms are essential for the homeless inhabitants and other folks with unique toilet requires, these types of as expecting females and the elderly.

Six regions are approved in general for the public services.

Blue dots in the map underneath signify web sites where the Office of General public Operates has carried out emergency cleanings, purple dots depict other DPW internet sites that a biohazard contractor providers.

Yellow dots characterize non permanent Division of Human Products and services restrooms, environmentally friendly dots stand for D.C. police recommendations and pink dots replicate long term Department of Parks and Recreation internet sites of standalone general public restrooms.
