Biles out of ground, vault, uneven bars beam possible

TOKYO (AP) — Simone Biles will not protect her Olympic gold medal on ground workout.

United states of america Gymnastics declared Sunday that the six-time Olympic medalist has opted not to contend on flooring, where she won gold in Rio de Janeiro and placed second in qualifying final week.

Jennifer Gadirova of Britain will change Biles in the finals, which are scheduled for Monday.

United states Gymnastics said Biles has not made a decision no matter whether to participate in the equilibrium beam last, which is scheduled for Tuesday. She earned bronze on the event in Brazil five a long time ago.
