MANSFIELD — A Mansfield woman was stabbed more than 30 moments Thursday morning and Law enforcement are heading door-to-doorway seeking info on her assailant, according to a press launch from Capt. Shari Robertson.
“If any individual can provide any recommendations about the achievable id of the particular person or persons accountable for this assault, we are inquiring them to get hold of us,” Robertson explained. “The investigation is in its early phases and we do not have a motive for the assault and at this time.
“Having said that, it appears to be a random attack. I do not have an update on the victim’s affliction as she remains in healthcare facility care.”
At around 7:20 a.m., Mansfield Law enforcement responded to the 900 block of Brookfield Travel in reference to an assault. On arrival, officers have been suggested by Mansfield Fireplace professional medical staff on scene that the female victim, who is in her 70’s, experienced been stabbed.
According to a law enforcement push release, the victim said that a male experienced entered her apartment by unfamiliar usually means and began stabbing her as she laid in her bed. The victim described the suspect as a mild-skinned male, probably bi-racial or Hispanic, in his late teens to 20’s. She additional suggested that she considered she read a different human being within the apartment in the course of the assault.
The victim, who had been stabbed above 30 times, was transported to a nearby healthcare facility and left in the care of Crisis Space personnel for cure.
Mansfield Law enforcement and area regulation enforcement are hunting the space and will be heading door-to-door Thursday early morning, inquiring if any person has viewed men and women matching the suspect’s description.
